Whitetop Laurel
Whitetop Laurel creek is one of Virginia’s top special regulation wild trout waters and one of our personal favorites. Designated as “ BLUE RIBBON TROUT WATER” it is larger than most southern wild trout water but still smaller than the tail waters. This stream is a true southern Blue Ridge gem, having a thriving population of both wild rainbow and brown trout with some 18 inch plus browns. Whitetop provides great dry fly action from mid-spring on with sulphurs, little yellow stone flies and even a eastern green drake hatch! You won’t be disappointed with Whitetop Laurel!
