1/2 Day With Good Results On Upper New

Mark and his friend Eric came up from Winston and Durham to go for a half day trip on the upper New River. It was a combo day of fly fishing and spin fishing with both gentlemen picking up smallmouth bass on top water fly patterns. After the sun sank behind the mountain we went with spin fishing and landed several more smallies before the darkness ran us off the water. Mark is shown below with one of the nicer smallmouth caught that day. Thanks go out from me to Mark and Eric for an enjoyable afternoon/evening on the beautiful New River at it most peaceful time.
