Welcome to Tri-State Angler guide service. Our guides specialize in fly fishing float and wade trips for trout and smallmouth bass. We guide on the Watauga, South Holston and New rivers as well as numerous smaller wild trout streams in east Tennessee, western North Carolina and southwest Virginia. We have also added Lake Erie tributary steelhead trips that must be experienced to be believed! Lower New River 8/13/07 on the fly rod

Another good day on the lower New River with the fly rod. Off today with Tri-State Angler regular Dr. Bill Barker and Richard Griggs of Statesville, NC. Bill got several nice fish a couple 17 inchers and a couple of 16 inchers and Richard got lots of nice fish including this nice one around 15 inches. Lots of smaller fish also, great day guys!
