A New Experience/New River Smallmouth Bass

Had client Tony’s wife, Jill, call for a return trip for smallmouth bass for her husband as a birthday gift. Tony and his dad went with me last year and he had such a good time he wanted to go again and share the experience with his wife. Although it was a cold chilly day and the water temp and air temps were about the same, (58) Tony and Jill beat out a good day with impressive casting and patience. I was constantly impressed by the two of them for well placed cast on a day that if they hadn’t been able to do so would have been a long one with less or no fish. Although no monsters were caught they did catch some respectable fish and a good number. Jill said at the end of the day she had done the bait fishing in ponds and lakes but now understood why here husband loved fishing so much. The challenge, scenery and the hard fighting smallmouth bass made it easy for her. They are already talking about more trips. Thanks guys for a great day.
