Welcome to Tri-State Angler guide service. Our guides specialize in fly fishing float and wade trips for trout and smallmouth bass. We guide on the Watauga, South Holston and New rivers as well as numerous smaller wild trout streams in east Tennessee, western North Carolina and southwest Virginia. We have also added Lake Erie tributary steelhead trips that must be experienced to be believed! Watauga River tailwater float 10/20/07

Floated the Watauga tailwater today with Dr Gavin Harrell and son Nathan of Elkin, NC. What a great day, beautiful weather and lots of biting fish. Gavin took the pictures today and i’ve only got the ones from the upper river. We got 3 big stocked rainbows on the upper end and lots of smaller but nice holdover/wild fish on the lower end. Great day guys! pics later
